Had two great RP partners and due to a combination of real life, stress, and other things they both said “I don’t think I can work this due to the time difference, sorry.” but only after having already been role playing with them for a while. This was of course after I had told them my timezone and made clear that if they could not work it then it would be better for us both to seek and go elsewhere. Sounds like you need better partners. Our group is spread all over the world (Australia, England, [Redacted]) and we still manage to make the differing time zones work. All it requires is a little patience, some understanding, and occasionally allowing your character to be moved (with permission) while you sleep.
